The sports sedan gets a new V8 engine. The engine produces 523 horsepower and 553 foot-pounds of torque. In comparison, the M5 uses a 542 horsepower engine. The M5 CS has an acceleration from zero to 60 miles per hour of 3.2 seconds. In comparison, the M5 uses a 3.4 seconds. M5 CS Shorter Wheelbase than M5 The M5 CS is longer than the standard M5 sedan. This is due to the fact that it has a shorter wheelbase. The standard wheelbase of the M5 is 184.8 inches. The M5 CS comes with a wheelbase of 183 inches. The M5 CS also has slightly more fuel economy than the standard M5 sedan. The M5 sedan has an EPA rating of 14 miles per gallon in the city and 23 miles per gallon on the highway. The M5 CS has an EPA rating of 15 miles per gallon in the city and 22 miles per gallon on the highway.
The Performance Package
The new M5 CS is equipped with a number of performance and aesthetic upgrades. The M5 CS has been given a performance-oriented performance package which includes the Competition package, magnesium wheels, carbon fiber fixed rear spoiler, M performance exhaust system, rear lip spoiler and “CS” lettering. The red exterior color palette is complemented by Alcantara or carbon fiber trim, and contrast stitching on the instrument panel, steering wheel and door panels. Additionally, you can customize the interior by adding M-specific upholstery and trim inserts. Bespoke Option If you are looking to further customize your car, you can purchase M-specific door sill plates with the individual “CS” lettering for a cool $1400.
In the teaser image, we get to see some striking details of the car including the massive headlights and muscular body. The bumper appears to be made out of carbon fiber. The front and rear bumper appear to have cooling ducts. The company has also built a video of the car in action. The M5 CS will get fenders along with a front diffuser. The four exhaust pipes are also shown. Exterior There is no official release date for the M5 CS. But rumor has it that the car will go on sale in late 2018 or early 2019.
The M5 CS has delivered an unmatched driving experience. The interior is beautifully executed. The engine is more than capable. The interior and exterior are superb. Expect to see the 2022 M5 CS in showrooms before the end of the year.
