Istanbul have been one of the very best teams in the Turkish top flight for the past several seasons and they will be fighting for a spot in the Conference League this Thursday against the struggling Netanya. who come from the rather inferior Israeli Premier League.
Netanya had won just 10 league games all through the previous regular season and they barely managed to secure an entry into the playoffs for this competition. Lately their form has been very worrisome and they have been letting in goals in huge numbers.
Do also note that they have not at all been at their best at this venue in the past several weeks.
Meanwhile, Basaksehir have been on a long impressive run. They are consistently finding the back of the net and have been doing so on the road for the past several game weeks.
They had let in the least number of goals in the Turkish league the previous season and had remained a dominating presence all through the course of the tournament as well.
As a result of their long and consistent run, they have built some momentum and they will hope that it will help them this coming Thursday in order to progress to the next round of the playoffs.
