Almost for the entirety of the second half of the season Everton fans have been dreading getting relegated to the Championship. They hung above the cut off by the slightest of margins and with just two fixtures remaining they have managed to put a cushion of two points over the limit.
However, the danger is still not over and they will have to be on their toes in order to ensure their safety for next season. They do have the confidence of playing in front of their home crowd where passionate fans will be cheering their players on in order to avoid this ultimate embarrassment.
But what worries them is the fact that they will have to take on an in-form Crystal Palace who are comfortably placed in the mid table. They have been on a good stretch of performances lately and have been finding the back of the net at a good rate as well.
On the other hand, Crystal Palace held Aston Villa to a 1-1 draw on the road the last game week. They are also on a four-fixture unbeaten run, and it’s been almost a month since they have lost on the road.
