AFCON

Tuesday expert betting tips to cash out

While Senegal were pre-tournament favourites, the 2019 runners up have made it to the knockout stages of this edition mainly via their rock-solid defense.

Illustrating that point is the fact that Senegal are yet to score from open play, and only scraped past Zimbabwe with a last gasp penalty.

They then played out back-to-back goalless draws, so this has potential to be a long evening for both teams.

Senegal qualified for the last 16 despite only scoring one goal in their three group stage games, a penalty kick in a late 1-0 win over Zimbabwe. More from the Lions of Teranga to come, as they attempt to capitalize on the early exits of Ghana, Algeria, and Nigeria.

Cape Verde advanced with four points from three games, and in their last Group A game, they held their own against tournament hosts Cameroon.

They have, however, lost their last four matches against Senegal, surrendering seven goals and scoring none, including a 2-0 loss in June.

Senegal will likely kick into gear soon, and while Cape Verde may frustrate the African heavyweights, Aliou Cisse's side should have what it takes to win this in normal time.

Senegal to win or draw under 4.5

Morocco progressed to the last-16 unbeaten in Group C, winning two of their three games. They are overwhelming favourites to book their quarter-final spot here.

Malawi exceeded expectations to progress to the knockout stages, securing the place alongside Senegel and Guinea. The Flames have failed to win their last four meetings with Morocco, but held them to a 0-0 draw when these two last met at AFCON 2019.

However, Morocco have been superb this tournament so far and should ease into the next round of the competition on Tuesday.

Gent have won their last 4 home matches against Oostende in all competitions.
