Joe Mettle, a renowned Gospel musician in Ghana has reacted to a question which was asked by one journalist on Hitz FM on whether he will one day consider to endorse a betting company in Ghana.
Speaking on Hitz FM this morning, Joe Mettle revealed that in as much as he needs a lot of sponsorships and also money for his various events and activities, he would never endorse a betting company. He added that he does not have any major sponsor yet but God always find ways to help him out in every situation.
Joe Mettle further revealed that even if betting companies come and give him cash willingly without asking for any return or favour from him, he will still not support or endorse them. He added that even though he needs money, but his first loyalty is to God.
"I will not do it. In my personal opinion, you need to know where to draw the lines. You need to know where you really stand and what will work or not work for you. Like I said, I am first a minister of God before I am a musician. I happen to be a minister of God who happens to be gifted with the ability to sing"
"My first assignment is to God and so He expects certain things from me. Sometimes sponsorship comes, sometimes it doesn't. But despite all that, each time that something needs to be done, God in his own way makes a way" he said
