Former Cameroon Coach Sad About Betting Situation in Ghana

Ex-Ghana striker, Ibrahim Tanko says several factors are contributing to the slow development of football.

The former Borussia Dortmund forward refused to mention the factors but described them as “what is going on behind the scene.” The Ghana FA Disciplinary Committee recently ruled on the betting scandal between AshantiGold and now Division One club, Inter Allies last season. That could be a factor the soft spoken Tanko, a former CAMEROON assistant coach could be alluding to as an agent destroying the game in the West African country.

“In terms of talent, we have but definitely we all are hearing what is going on in some of the venues. “I think the Ghana Football Association should be very careful I mean they have to step in to make everything cool for all the teams.

“The Premier League itself is not bad but what is going on behind the scene I think we should talk about it.” Ibrahim Tanko told Radio Gold Sports. AshantiGold and Inter Allies per the ruling have been demoted to the second Division of Ghana football but they have the right to appeal the case.
