The Ghana Cedi depreciates more and more as time passes by. Yet our leaders claim all is well.
Before we get into this, take a few seconds to go like and follow this page for more news updates. Once again you are welcome to Mrkhay news page.
If i am not mistaken, quite a few years ago, the Ghana Cedi was more valuable than the USD (Dollars). It started becoming equal with the Cedi and have successfully passed and is now more valuable than our very own currency.
Why is this happening? Why is the Cedi losing its value and why isnt it at least trying to keep up with the Dollar?
The 1 Ghana Cedi was very valuable that you could get food to buy and be satisfied but in recent times, to get any food worth 1 Ghana cedi will be tough these days. This is a clear difference between then and now.
A time came, when you received visitors and before they left your home, they give you the child 5 Ghana cedis you will jump around because that money could get you through a whole week eating sweets. Now that 5 Ghana Cedis will only get you one biscuit or a drink and you will be left with nothing.
The 10 Ghana cedis which was more like gold then, is still doing better at least in terms of value. It's more precious than the 1,2 and 5 Ghana Cedis.
For all these reasons we blame government.
But who do you think is to be blamed?
