The Controller and Accountant Generals Department (CAGD) which is the government institution responsible for the payment of government workers salaries in Ghana has warned various workers who receives their salary through the department of a new fraud that has been reported to them on several occasions.
There is a scam going on where someone will call that he is from CAGD office. He then mentions your name direct, your rank and any relevant info about you to convince you that he is a staff at the department.
They will tell you that there is some money, eg (GH 15000) or more that they will pay you which you will share with them (50-50).
Now they will tell you that it is secret and they do not want any auditor to know so they will not pay through your mother bank but only through DALEX, BAYPORT, IZWE.etc
Please don't fall for it because they will use your details to take a loan from any of them that you will select yourself share the money with you 50-50 and they will give you a three months grace period before deductions.
By then it will be too late.
