Public Sectors in the country has threatened to embarked on indefinite strike, if their demands of 20% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) are not pay by the government within seven days.
The workers at Bui Power Authority, Ghana Airport Company Limited, Ghana Metrological Agency, Public Utility and Regulatory Council (PURC) which includes over 27,000 employees and others in the Public Sectors are yet to lay down their tools.
They explained that, "the Leaders of the management Committee has decided not to work if their COLA fails to meet the economic hardship".
They stressed that, "All communications have sent to the Ministry of Employment Labour and Relations and all those who matters will have a press release and the media will also get full details of decisions that have been taken. But the button line is seven days as the Labour Law requires.
" TUC has already clearly communicated the 20% COLA to the authorities since May Day", they said.
They said, their ready waiting for 7 days.
