Ghana is getting more interesting as more news concerning the salaries of our leaders are popping up. A few moments ago, the salaries of John Mahama, Amissah Arthur and their wives popped up and Ghanaians expressed their feelings towards it.
In a about a week ago, the first gentleman of the land, His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo made some comments concerning the need for Ghana to include the names of the first and second ladies in the Ghana's payroll system. Most Ghanaians did not take it lightly with him as they complained bitterly about the poor nature of the economy.
Just now, the salaries of the President, the Vice President, the first Lady, the second Lady, Speaker of Parliament, Chief Justice, EC chairperson and the chief of staff also surfaced online.
According to a post by AfricaWish, the President receives GHS 47,277 as his monthly salary every month. The Vice President also receives GHS 39,397 monthly, the first Lady takes GHS 33,270 monthly and the second Lady also takes GHS 33,270.
The Speaker of Parliament takes home GHS 34,146 monthly, the Chief Justice takes GHS 35,021 monthly as salary, the EC chairperson takes GHS 31,519 monthly while the Chief of Staff also takes home GHS 28,455 as monthly salary.
The government will continue to say there's no money in the economy but look at what our leaders at taking home monthly.
Are they coming to build Ghana or to destroy it?
We continue to borrow from countries who's Presidents don't earn such an amount monthly. What type of leadership is Ghana experiencing?
