The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has appointed Dr Mustapha Abdul-Hamid to one of the most valued and highly prestigious state own enterprises - National Petroleum Authority (NPA) as the Chief Executive Officer, which will come into effect on the 1st of July, 2021.
Infact, a lot is expected of Hon. Mustapha Hamid as most expect him to change the dynamics of the petroleum sector in both downstream petroleum regulations and to bring an end to the unwarranted petroleum revenues diversions.
A few to know about Dr. Hamid in his previous fields of endeavors;
Mustapha is considered to have a high pedigree to holding this position, as he was once the executive director of the Danquah Institute and a former minister for the zongo Ministry in Nana Addo previous administration. He also served as a lecturer at the University of Cape Coast, one of Ghana's renowned public University. He holds M. Phils and Doctorate in religious studies from UCC.
