“Pay Our Allowances”- Trainee Nurses And Midwives Send Another ‘Strong’ Message To Government

The Trainee Nurses and Midwives association of Ghana (GNMTA) have recently sent another strong message to government over unpaid allowances for the past couple of months and caused massive stir, debates and arguments across all social media platforms.

According to a recent communique by the GNMTA, the report made it clear via a post that, the government hasn’t paid the allowance for the trainee nurses and midwives for the past 8 months even though they expected to receive these allowances every month within each semester.

With respect to this, the Ghana national Nurses and Midwives Associations took to social media to express their immense concerns by calling upon the government over their unpaid allowances for the past 8 months as they lamented over how they couldn’t fend for themselves, pay their school fees, write exams, go for clinical and just to mention but a few.
