Hardly will you see or hear Ghanaian Members of Parliament giving away their hard work earnings to support their people in their constituency, but yesterday evening around 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm there about, the Member of Parliament for the Jomoro Constituency proved people wrong.
Honourable Dorcas Afo-Toffey who is the Member of Parliament for the Western Region situated constituency Jomoro Constituency lunched the Jomoro Women Assistance Fund which seeks to empower women within the district and the Constituency.
Honourable Dorcas Afo-Toffey opened the lunching of this beneficial project by giving away loans to 200 women from the Constituency.
The Member of Parliament started by revealing that she will continue to give these loans to the women in her constituency till every woman gets funds to start or continue her business.
One interesting thing that the Jomoro MP said was the fact she will use her salary to pay all the interest on the loans given the women.
The occasion was graced with three mps, two from Nzemaland and one from the volta region. They were the MP for Elembele Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Buah, The Evalue or Nzema East MP Hon. Kofi Arko-Nokoe and the MP for North Tongu Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
