That Is Our Biggest Problem In Ghana - Dr. Randy Abbey Boldly Declares

The host of 'Good Morning Ghana' on Metro television, Dr. Randy Abbey, has revealed that the biggest problem in Ghana is dysfunctional literacy.

Dr. Randy Abbey made this statement in today's episode of 'Good Morning Ghana' when he gave his opinion on youth unemployment in Ghana.

According to him, literacy and education are supposed to equip us with skills and the capacity to solve problems, but when you have acquired education, and it doesn't equip you to solve problems, it's called dysfunctional literacy.

"Our problem is not illiteracy or semi-literacy. It is dysfunctional literacy. Whiles people have acquired and can show you the certificate, but the application of same is not solving our problems." He said

He added that when people have had their education has their certificate, they no longer blame themselves and their circumstances for their unemployed status. They blame the state and the system. They believe that they have played their part, and it is the system that has failed them.
