Former GRIDCo Boss, Loses Promising 27yr Old Son and Also Engineer In USA In A Very Sad Way. DETAILS

Life is supposed to be full and long, but when the hand of icy death strikes, he cuts it short and makes the memories of persons, who were on a sure successful journey, end in pains, for their loved ones and such is the story of just27years old, Andrew-Drew Skd Amuna.

At this young age, he could best be described as "a promising young Ghanaian who graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, with a Masters Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering recently and rose to become an international role model at age 27 years by dint of hard work."

Most recently as February, he was the centre of attraction of several inspiring tabloids, as they wrote about his meteoric rise in academia and career.

Andrew-Drew Skd Amuna from Dua-Nayire in the Upper East Region had earned his first degree in Electronic Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and went ahead to bag a Master of Electrical Engineering from the University of North Carolina.

He soon landed a job with electronic producing company Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL), a laudable feat, as an Associate Engineer. Amuna is a perfect example of how effective hard work pays as he worked his way from the basic and had the opportunity to work in the company's various divisions and assist the SEL team in making electric power safer, more reliable, and economical.

Details of hi passing indicates that, he had drowned at the Granite Point Snake River near Pullman County, Washington State, USA where he had joined a colleague on a fishing expedition, Saturday afternoon., as Pullman Radio reports, Andy drowned while swimming in the Snake River.

According to the Whitman County Sheriff’s report, police Deputies were called to the scene West of Pullman around 4:30. The 911 caller reported that the male went missing after being in the water near the shoreline. Authorities searched the water in boats and jet skis before calling in the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team. Divers located the male deceased in 9 feet of water about 10 feet from shore.

It was only a week ago that Andy moved to Washington State from North Carolina after he was transferred by the company he is working with, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories. The body was transported to the King County Medical Examiner’s office Monday, July 26 for autopsy, July 27.

Social media is filled with condolence as Joy FM's Israel Laryea for instance, calls for prayers for his family, "Please bear up the Amuna Family of Bongo Dua in prayer at this very difficult time," he wrote.
