She claims her reason was that since Ghana hasn't had and female Inspector General of Police in the 4th Republic, the government by then should select as the next Inspector General of Police.
She said in order to have a fair and equal right in the Ghana Police Service, there must be a lady IGP one day. Afia Pokua applauded the President's decision to choose COP George Akuffo Dampare as the next possible Inspector General of Police.
She further stated that there has been a lady deputy Inspector General of Police she me time ago so there is a probability a lady can also do the work very well.
She made this bold comment while commenting on COP George Akuffo Dampare new position givennto him by the president.
She ended by saying Tiwaa Addo Danquah should be selected as the next IGP if the tenure of COP George Akuffo Dampare ends.
