The earlier we tackle the grown youth population on the African continent, the better - Osafo Marfo

Mr. Yaw Osafo Marfo, a Senior Presidential Advisor has advised that the growing number of youth on the African continent is likely tobe a security threat on her shores.

The former Senior Minister was speaking at a forum where the AfCFTA Officials and Executives were having a meeting to address some issues and strengthen the needed ties since it is headquartered here in Accra. 

This impending 'disaster', he has attributed to the high rate of unemployment that has engulfed the whole of youth idling around without any good job they seem to have doing on their own.

He added the the Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) is the answer to these silent prayers of many of the youth on the continent.

Per his narrative, he is confident the AfCFTA is the game changer and as a matter of fact, holds the magic wand in bringing an end to this issue.

Currently, thr AfCFTA has 54 member states on board, and it is the largest trade organization ever to be formed. This is also going to create more jobs, and make monies to be retained into the continent rather than trading with the outside world that are non-African
