Inside Story: President Akuffo-Addo 'Sacked' IGP, Mr James Oppong Boanuh Because of This. (Details)

The president of the republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo has sacked the Inspector General of Police (IGP), James Oppong Boanuh.

The news broke wild and fast took over the country as many people who did not have any background information of the directive of the president ask is why is the current IGP should step down.

The inside story to why the president ordered Mr James Oppong Boanuh to step down is that, He is embarking on his terminal leave since he is in his retirement year and may need a replacement.

Mr James Oppong Boanuh will retire on 7th October, 2021. He has served Ghana very well which deserve to be honored by all Ghanaians

President Akuffo-Addo appointed COP Dr George Akuffo Dampare to step in and continue his work as the Inspector General of Police, and ordered Mr James Oppong Boanuh to step down.
