Just In: Government Introduces Basket Weaving For Ghanaian Youths Who Are Unemployed.

The latest news emerging at the moment details how basket weaving has been announced as the new job opportunity for the unemployed youths in Ghana. This announcement was made to the public by the Centre for National Culture (CNC) under the Ministry of Art and Culture. 

The Acting Bono Regional Director of CNC, Mr. Seidu Iddrisu Yeboah, gave details in an interview about what the Government of Ghana is planning for the youths with no jobs. According to him, the CNC is prioritising basket weaving to make the sector attractive, to drive youth and attract both local and foreign investors.

 Mr. Seidu Iddrisu Yeboah recommended basket weaving to both the educated and uneducated citizens of the country. For him, he unemployed youths should see it as an avenue that could help them earn some decent amount of money.

The Regional Director spoke about plans to recruit and train unemployed youths in various districts and municipalities in the region who would be interested in the business. Mr. Seidu Iddrisu Yeboah claimed that "We must uphold, defend and preserve the nation's cultural heritage".
