A lot of fake news regarding salary increase and salary negotiations are circulating online, beware of those fake news. If it is really true, the major news portals will publish such news first, not the one man managed blogs. So far nothing concrete has been heard from the government.
The Teacher Unions are silent on salary increment, they should come out and say something, though it's all public sector workers issue. The Teacher Unions should take a stand on this issue for teachers. It is not only legacy arrears that they can speak on. Yearly Salary increment is also an issue they should talk about. We pay dues so they can speak on our behalf. So they should speak up. Some time ago last year NAGRAT proposed a 25% increase, after that we haven't heard anything again about whether they are still pushing for that proposal.
According to a communique from TUC yesterday, they wrote a letter to the minister of labor and employment concerning increment in the daily minimum wage and base pay so negotiation will begin and finish before the minister of finance will present the budget before parliament in March.
