More “fire” in town- Coronavirus chases govt officials:Jean Mensah to scrap the new voter's register

The Jean Mensah led Electoral Commission has no moral rights to compile a fresh voter's register as the deadly coronavirus pandemic spread faster among the top government officials according some analyses.

First, the health minister becomes one of its client according to details.

And as yet, he is said to be responding to treatment at the special VIP therapy department of the University of Ghana Hospital.

Some unconfirmed reports claim the health minister has subsequently been discharged to continue treatment at home.

In a related development, the Chief Executive of the National Health Insurance Authority has also fallen victim to this novel coronavirus.

Reports say Dr. Lydia Desane Selby has gone into self-imposed exile in an unknown location.

The situation is rumpling nerves across the country and many are pressuring the Jean Mensah led Electoral Commission to consider that, the lives of Ghanaians are worth more than her plans to compile fresh register.

The warnings from even the gods appeared unhindered to and thus the current development might change the calculus according to some Ghanaians who commented on social media platforms:

God is sending a powerful message and the earlier they listen and repent the better. As for the old liar, if he gets this disease, he should forget the new register "noooo" according to Kwaku Menu.

I protect all NDC top officials with the blood of Jesus from this virus. Probably the next to be infected will be the EC boss according to Mama Sewaa

40 days new voter register must be stopped but 1day election must come on. Do some people think far according to Nana Amponsah Dickson.

The bashing of the Electoral Commission's chairperson over her plans to compile a new voter's list will continue as the supreme is ready to make some pronouncements on 23rd June 2020.

Meanwhile, some women groups are reported to be planning a naked demonstration to compel to Jean Mensah to scrap her new voter's register.

However, we can't independently verify the identities of these women groups aiming to embark on a raw demonstration.
