Some redeemed Covid-19 patients at one of the nation's treatment centers are dreadful to leave isolation centers and get back because of the possible stigma from families and friends alike.
Sports Journalist, Gary Al-Smith in an interview on Joy FM's Super Morning Show on Monday uncovered a few patients who are as yet under treatment have not educated their family members regarding their confirmation at a Covid-19 treatment place because of dread of being avoided.
“There are two people here who told me that, their families think they have gone out of Accra for meetings or work related travels,” he said.
Gary Al-Smith who is as of now at the University of Ghana Medical Center (UGMC) since he tried positive for the infection much further uncovered that some recuperated patients dread to get back after release.
“Some people mentioned that they are not afraid to go home but they are afraid of what will happen when they go back to work.
“We are all paying for the fact that we don’t really know much about the disease and it is all feeding into the stigma,” he stated.
