V/R: B.E.C.E candidate allegedly attacked by “demon spirit” during exams

Some 2,769 final year pupils of Junior High Schools across the various districts in the Volta region have started their end of basic education certificate examination (BECE). 

A visit to some examination centres in the region, saw calm environment, with all centres adhering to the COVID-19 protocols, especially social distancing and washing of hands before entering exams halls including wearing of face mask.

In the region, the Ketu South municipality has the highest number of candidates of 3, 892 writing their exams, and the Akatsi North having the least number of candidates of 461 candidates.

Meanwhile, a female candidate of Salvation Army Junior High School (name withheld) in the Ho municipality was alleged to have been attacked by a demon spirit  minutes to start the first paper, English Language at the Mawuli SHS centre in Ho.

The drama saw the girl chanting unfamiliar words which nearly discouraged other candidates at the centre. Her father who later rushed to the centre resulted to using herbs and anointing oil to heal his daughter with prayer support by some men of God who were called to the rescue of the girl.

However, she was separated from her colleagues, sitting under a tree were she took her first paper.
