Just days after the demise of Sir John after testing positive to coronavirus, another hero has passed on due to complications from this same dreadful disease.Doctor Richard Kisser , a heart surgeon at the Trust Hospital in Accra , died at the University of Ghana Medical Centre after testing positive to coronavirus.
Many front line workers have lost their lives all over the world since the pandemic broke out . In early June, the Medical Director for Kwadaso SDA hospital DR. Harry Owusu lost his life having also tested positive to the virus. A week after , his brother who is in politics and an Assembly Man , William Boateng also died after contracting the virus.
The Trust Hospital in Accra has issued a notice on the demise of the heart surgeon which specifies the cause of his illness and passing on.
We regret to inform all staff of the passing consultant surgeon, Dr. Richard Kisser. The sad event occurred on Thursday 2nd of July 2020 at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) where he was receiving treatment for COVID-19 complications. May his soul rest in place. Thank You.
