Breaking news: Noguchi to be closed?

Reports coming from the Noguchi Memorial Institute of medical research (NMIMR) is that the seven centers that were set up to help the Research Institute to do more tests on the Coronavirus disease have stopped functioning recently.

Doctor Bonney from the medical institute said that this decision was important because the centers have run out the basic needs to carry the test.

According to Dr. Bonney, this has placed Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR) and the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine (KCCR) under excessive pressure. The two are the main testing centers in the country too.

This message was released when doctor Bonney was having an interview on Happy FM, he said: "These testing centers have run out of consumables needed for the processing of Covid-19 samples and are yet to be restocked by the Ghana Health Service (GHS)".

Only Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research cannot only conduct the test on patients but rather there must be a supportive team and that team should be provided all the necessary requirements so that they can also conduct some of the tests.

What are your thoughts on this, is it good for the other centers to stop?
