This new arrest brings the total of arrested suspects to six. Confirming the news on Happy FM's Happy Morning Shows, Mfantseman Divisional police commander, ACP Owuahene Adjei Acheampong further intimated that there is the likelihood that more suspects will be arrested as investigation proceeds.
This clue from the Divisional police commander almost fully confirms earlier speculations that the killing of the MP was planned work rather than the robbery costing given in the early stages of the case.
The late Ekow Quansah was killed by supposed armed robbers a week ago, sound 1 am on Friday 9 October 2020. He was said to be returning from a campaign rally.
Several other violent attacks have been waged on MPs in recent times, prompting Parliament to secure each MP with 1 police officer.
Just last week Saturday, another violent attack, targeting Hon. Cynthia Morrison was botched by the Swedru Divisional police night patrol team.
