The decomposing body of a taxi driver at Ashiaman has been found in his room five days after he was last seen.
Emmanuel Appiah whose body was found in his room lying on his bed was last seen by his landlord fetching water from the compound of the house.
According to the landlord, when he saw Appiah fetching the water, he was shaking like someone who was unwell, but because he was a known drunkard, he did not pay attention to his usual intoxicating mannerisms.
After about five days of his absence in the house, the landlord recollected sighting him on the tap. They ask of him, only to be told by a woman in the neighbourhood that she had seen flies at his windows. His lifeless and decomposing body was found when the room was broken into.
The Police were informed and his body has since been taken away to Tema.
Sadly, the almost almost 40 years old man had no wife, child nor a woman around her.
According to Appiah's family, he had been advised on countless occasions to put a stop to his excessive drinking habit, but he turned a death ear to such numerous admonistions. His death has been attributed to his own lifestyle.
Investigations on the matter has since began to ascertain what actually might have led to the death of him.
