Everyday people genuinely work hard to earn some money and to make ends meet. Others on the other hand want to reap where they have not sowed. I have personally had an encounter with some one who wanted to defraud me by giving me a very cheeky story.
This is their mode of operation. They call your phone, which I believe is random dialing. They great nicely. The next thing is they are waiting for the money you said you would send. You begin to ask your self, what money? You have to be very smart in order to outwit them.
There are a couple of things you can do. Once you realize he's a fraudster, you can lead him on waste his call credit. Whwn he realoses hes not geting anytbing from you, hell hang up.
Next you can end the call immediately after realising who they are.
One thing that baffles me is they mostly use MTN numbers. MTN says we should text any such numbers to 419. There should be arrests made since every number is registered and there is always a face behind the number.
Be careful everybody. Stay alert. Protect your hard earned money.
