Self-acclaimed UN diplomat, Ambassador Dr. Kwadwo Fordjour, has been arrested. He was in the middle of an interview when police stormed in with bench warrant, effecting his arrest.
According to UTV's Ashanti regional correspondent Sampson K Nyamekye, Dr. UN was in an interview at Kumasi-based Hello FM at the time of his arrest. He was said to have engaged in hot argument with the police for about three minutes, challenging their authority to arrest him.
Dr. UN was immediately remanded to 2 weeks upon reaching the magistrate court, the judge of which signed the bench warrant.
Sources indicate that Dr. UN is facing several charges that date as far back as 2018. Dr. UN shocked Ghana when he organized a pompous awards ceremony, awarding top personalities across several sectors of the economy. However, a few hours after the awards, it emerged that he was as fake a UN diplomat as his awards ceremony.
Since thern, Dr. UN has been seen on various media platforms bragging and making mockery of those he awarded.
