Four spears found in 1997 at Schoeningen, Germany are 400,000 years old — the earliest known purpose —built hunting weapons. The spears were found along with stone tools and the butchered remains of more than 10 horses. These spears are currently the oldest known wooden artifacts in the world.

Sharpened stones (Oldowan tools), 2.6 million years ago. One of the earliest examples of stone tools found in Ethiopia. The early Stone Age (also known as the Lower Paleolithic) saw the development of the first stone tools by Homo habilis, one of the earliest members of the human family. Dated to around 2.33 mya, it is the earliest find of tools and human bones together.

3.Earliest Musical Instrument

The oldest musical instrument in the world, a 60,000-year-old Neanderthal flute is a treasure of global significance. It was discovered in Divje babe cave near Cerkno in 1995 and has been declared by experts to have been made by Neanderthals. It was 45,000 years old and had four different notes.

4.Europe's Largest Mound

Europe's Largest Mound Silbury Hill, in Wiltshire, England, is Europe's largest man made mound. Built between around 2800 and 2000 BC, it rises to 40 m (130 ft) and 2 ha (5 acres). It is the tallest prehistoric man-made mound in Europe and one of the largest in the world; similar in size to some of the smaller Egyptian pyramids of the Giza Necropolis.

5.Oldest Tattoos 

A 5,300-year-old "iceman", discovered frozen in the Alps, was found to have 60 tattoos in various places of his body, dating to between 3370 and 3100 BC. He is near-perfectly preserved, with much of his skin, clothes and hunting gear still intact.

Since the discovery, Ötzi the Iceman has been examined by multiple teams of scientists, with new chest tattoos among the more recent discoveries.

However, direct evidence for tattooing on mummified human skin extends only to the 4th millennium BC.
