A young teacher of St. Matthias R/C JHS, New Takoradi, who is recently making the Western Region very proud has come out with another powerful art. This time he uses cardboards to create attractive portraits. With all these amazing artworks, his students are not excluded.
Augustine Owusu Mensah now creates a new way of using cardboards for things that are worth buying. After school, Sir Augustine instructs his learners to come to school with empty boxes the next day. With this, these empty boxes are recycled into fine arts that could be sold to generate income.
This strategy may reduce dumping of empty boxes at the refuse dump. The learners are enjoying his magic artworks to the extent that they are ready to do anything to acquire such knowledge from him. Since arts demand time and commitment, the young teacher is very patient with his learners. Augustine believes that success is not just something we do once but something we do repeatedly. Check out some of his artworks below.
