There is an uncompleted auditorium in the Ashanti regional capital which is set to accommodate over 5000 persons at a time. However, construction works on this auditorium has stopped for over 15 years. This auditorium is located in Tanoso at Ghana's latest university which is known as AAMUSTED. This uncompleted auditorium is about 60% complete. But works needs to be done in the inside.
The National Theater of Ghana can accommodate 1,500 persons at a sitting. This is quite a huge number. However when this auditorium in Kumasi, it will certainly accommodate more than three times that of the National Theater.
When completed will surely generate income for Aamusted and also to the government.
There have been several request by the university's management and the SRC but to no avail.
We hope it get completed soon to boost Theater Movement in Ghana.
