A set pictures of the first President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and renowned Islamic Cleric who was a native of Senegal has popped up. That man of prominence was called Sheikh Ibrahim Niasse.
According to Historical facts available, Sheikh Ibrahim Niasse visited Ghana in the 1960s upon the invitation by Dr Kwame Nkrumah. Till date, the reason for the said invitation has not been made public.
Ghana's first President was not only person who had close contact with Sheikh Ibrahim Niasse. He (Sheikh Ibrahim Niasse) had a number of followers in Ghana. He appointed the late Sheikh Salisu Shaban to propagate his spiritual ideology in Ghana, Togo and Benin.
The late Sheikh Mohammed Salisu Shaban was a student of Sheikh Ibrahim Niasse as the former schooled in Senegal in the late 1950s.
