Free Wi-Fi In 90% of the Senior High Schools, Plans Underway To Extend To JHS - Ursula Owusu
Mrs. Ursula Owusu, Former minister of Communications and Minister designate for Communications.
According Mrs. Ursula Owusu, government through Busy internet has provided high speed fiber optic internet access in ninety(90) percent of the Senior High Schools in the country. She further stated that, there are plans to extend the internet access to the Junior High Schools in the country.
Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications(Gifec) through ministry of Communications has provided computers and Universal Power Supply(UPS) to some selected Senior High schools and Junior High Schools in the country.
This is to facilitate the New ICT policy of Ghana Education Service. The new ICT policy of Ghana Education Service is to equip students and teachers in the modern trends of technology in Education.
Ghana Education Service is to train teachers in digital proficiency, to provide them the necessary skills needed for digital education, with this government of Ghana will provide each teacher with a laptop.
