Ursula On April Fools Day

Minister for Communication and Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West, Mrs. Ursula Owusu Ekuful has stated that technology has drained the significance of April fool’s Day.

Laughter is great medicine — and it’s the perfect antidote when times feel heavy or downright hard. April 1 is as good a time as ever to turn a frown upside down and lighten the mood: Do it with a brilliantly executed April fool's prank! — some of the best ideas require little advanced planning and zero cost to pull off.

In a Facebook post, she acknowledged that 1st April has lost its relevance and it’s true meaning.

According to her, computer age has caused this and blamed “technology babies”

She pointed out that these “babies” kept on reminding people about 1st April and April Fool. “1st April has indeed lost its significance. Every minute bia na April fool nam mu. Technology babies yi ha adwene”, she posted.

1st April is regarded as a day of pranks and jokes world wide.

The celebration of 1st April as a day for pranks sprung from a story by Geoffrey Chaucer in which a cock was tricked by a fox on 32nd March.
