National Identification Authority is the full meaning of NIA. National Identification Authority is responsible of maintaining nationalty standards and procedures designed to protect Customer Information and other Personally Identifiable Information. The authority also test and update its technology to improve ability to protect Customer Information and other Personally Identifiable Information.

The National Identification Authority is also responsible of making sure all Ghanaians get one of the National Identification Card popularly known as Ghana Card.

Most of the people in the country have one of the NIA card. But after the registration, most of the people in the country were complaining that they have many ID cards and when they are going out, they have to carry all the ID cards along with them. But the management of NIA is doing everything to link all other cards with the Ghana Card. Some days back the National Identification Authority (NIA) came out to release a statement telling the general public how one can link his or her Tin to his or her Ghana Card. 

Below is the steps in linking ones Tin to his of her Ghana Card.

1. Click HERE to log on to the official GRA portal.

2. Enter your Tax Identification Number (TIN). E.g. P004826485626.

3. Enter your TIN and your Ghana Card PIN.

PLEASE NOTE: The Ghana Card ID has been indicated as PIN on the portal. Your Ghana PIN is usually written at the back of the card as GHA-273548264-6.

4. Enter a valid Email and Phone Number and Click on ‘SEND OTP’.

5. Check your mail inbox to get a 6-digit code sent to you by GRA.

6. Enter code in the OTP box.

That is the Proceed to link your TIN to your Ghana card.

After going through the process, you can check out your linking status by following these procedures.

1. Enter your TIN and your Ghana card PIN (NOTE: The Ghana Card ID has been indicated as PIN on the portal. Your Ghana PIN is usually written at the back of the card as GHA-273548264-6.

2. Enter a valid email address and your contact.

3. Click on ‘SEND OTP’.

4. Check your mail inbox to get a 6-digit code sent to you by GRA.

5. Enter code in the OTP box and press view status.
