Okudzeto Ablakwa has taken on the finance minister once again after he unearthed another scandal which involves a lot of money. The finance minister is being asked to make accounts for several spendings which have not gone well in the country or the finance department.
According to Okudzeto Ablakwa who is disseminating every aspect of the finance department and their spendings, there is a whopping sum of a 36 million dollars project which can not be accounted for.
According to him, a smart workplace project which was initiated by government and handled by the finance department which is led by Ken Ofori-Attah is a big shock. Currently, there can not be any records and account for this project.
The project was also handled by a ‘ghost’ company called smartinfraco which sprung out of nowhere and have no IT background, any structure or any features that classify them as a company thus capable of handling this project.
This poses a more troubling circumstance for the finance minister and the finance sector who are being flushed out of their offices with more of these scandals to defend these spendings and underground works.
What is the finance minister hiding and what can he, the finance minister say about these allegations? According to Okudzeto Ablakwa, the finance minister could be sacked since they are already investigating and prosecuting government staff on procurement breaches.
