The Member of Parliament for the Sekondi Constituency in the Western Region, Honorable Andrew Egyapa Mercer has explained to Ghanaians some of the cause of the current economic crisis in the country.
Speaking on Good Morning Ghana show on Metro Tv this morning, Honorable Andrew revealed that the current economic hardship or crisis is not as a result of any mismanagement or incompetence on behalf of this government. He explained his point by saying the the NPP government did the needful by managing the Covid-19 disease with a lot of needed resources. He added the the government spent a lot of money to avoid the spread of this deadly disease.
Aside this, Honorable Andrew revealed that the government did a banking sector clean up with a lot of money in order to sustain the economy and the banking sector. He is therefore calling on Ghanaians to accept the E-levy because it was the fault of the NDC that brought us into this mess and not this government.
He also added that most part of the world are also faced with economic crisis and not only Ghana.
