The Biography of Ibrahim Mahama, Owner of Dzata Cement

Ibrahim Mahama is a Ghanaian entrepreneur, a philanthropist, and the brother of John Dramani Mahama, former president of the Republic of Ghana.

He is the owner of Dzata Cement, the much-talked-about privately-owned cement company in Ghana.

He is reported to be one of the richest men in Ghana currently.

Ibrahim Mahama was born on January 29, 1971, in Piase, a town in the north region of Ghana.

He had his tertiary education at the College of North London later dropped out of school.

According to him, he realized his future wasn't in the classroom so he came back to Ghana.

While in Ghana, he discovered mining through reading and researching about minerals in Africa.

This triggered him to venture into entrepreneurship.

In 1992, he established his own rental firm called Engineers and Planners.

This gave him his breakthrough in life as an entrepreneur.

Currently, the firm has become one of the largest mining contractors in West Africa.

The firm currently has over 3000 workers with an asset value of over 100 million US dollars.

According to sources, he is the first Ghanaian to own a private jet.
