Ghanaian sensational actress Joselyn Dumas for see the death of digitization agenda in Ghana as a result of the e-levy that was passed into law.
Her post on Twitter sparked a lengthy conversation on among Ghanaians. She was concerned with how Ghanaians will now go back to the previous cash system other than using the electronic transaction.
“People are emptying their MoMo left & right. I guess we’re back to Cash System in Ghana. E-Levy will be the demise of digitisation.” - She wrote.
Joselyn Dumas also indicate that, the charges of the e-levy are ridiculous “The charges are ridiculous!… What???” she added.
In the comment section of her post, some Ghanaian agree with her concern and about how this will have a negative impact on businesses but others also disagree that, because of convince, they will still choose to use MoMo and pay the e-levy.
