The finance minister, Ken Ofori Atta, has publicly stated that the government will reduce it's expenditure by 20%. This news was received by Ghanaians with much happiness. Kelvin Taylor, CEO of the Loud Silence TV, had a different view of this announcement from the finance minister. Whiles reacting to the announcement, Kelvin Taylor stated boldly that the government has no intentions of cutting its expenditure by 20%. According to him, this was a palpable lie through the teeth's of the Finance Minister.
Kelvin Taylor's reason was that, the private jet alone which President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo charters alone is approximately 20% of the government expenditure. He believed that if the Finance Minister and the NPP government wanted to really cut their expenditure, they will resort to the use of Ghana's jet. According to him, Ken Ofori Atta only said that just to lure the MPs for the passage of the e-levy bill
