“Shut Up, If You’re Ignorant About the Covid Economy”

Paul Adom Otchere, journalist and host of Good Evening Ghana, Metro TV has taken to his show to criticize all the #FixTheCountry crusaders who fail to understand the impact of Covid-19 on economies.

According to Paul, he loves it when Ghanaians complain against the government, besides, this opportunity wasn’t there some years back in 1990. Again, their cry even made the government move the fuel price increment from 17% to 9%.

However, Ghanaians should understand the impact of the Covid-19 economy. The novel coronavirus had a serious effect on all countries and Ghana is one of the countries that didn’t record negative economic growth. This great achievement was made because of good governance and wisdom.

“Before you do your: speak your mind, speak your mind thing, I also say pick a book on Covid Economy and read. You will understand the economy.” He spoke.

This attack was precipitated when Paul Adom Otchere tweeted this on his page:

#FixIt,#FixTheCountry, but whose fault is it, @JDMahama? @NAkufoAddo? COVID-19, CSO’s, Media, or whom? Deputy Finance Minister joins us tonight on @GoodEvening_Gh to tell us about the new taxes and to answer questions on the-why, the -what, and the-when.

#GoodEveningGhana

Shortly, Nana Aba Anamoah attacked him for failing to criticize the current administration led by President Akufo-Addo. She further questioned Paul if former President John Mahama is still President.

For once, be brave and tell this administration led by @NAkufoAddo to #FixTheCountry and stop dragging others in.

Is John Mahama our President?

CSOs, Media? Did we elect them?

Stop this life!!

This made Paul Adom dedicate 12mins of his evening show ‘Good Evening Ghana’ to address Nana Aba and all Ghanaians that share a similar opinion about him.

For him, he has read and he’s clear in his mind that the current administration has performed admirably. So, if anybody wants to criticize the 2021 economy, that person should acknowledge the Covid-19. Read before you criticise.

However, other areas like water and electricity can be touched because they are essential and have nothing to do with Covid-19.
