Some of these leaders include Presidents, ministers, government officials and just to mention but a few as they make it their priority to put together the respective rules, regulations and developmental projects to help advance and improve their countries.

With respect to this, one of the most popularly known individuals who are normally voted into power by its citizens are Presidents as they are also taken care of by their respective countries as well as being paid for their services.

However, a recent list containing the most highly paid African leaders have sparked massive stir, debates and arguments across all social media platforms as individuals were surprised to have witnessed how much these African leaders earn annually even though their respective countries still live in poverty.

A recent research conducted by Business Insider has proven that, Cameroon’s President, Paul Biya is the most highly paid African leader with an annual salary of $620,979.

According to the report, the Cameroonian President earns about 10 times more than his Nigerian counterpart, Mohammed Buhari.

However, Ghanaian President, Nana Akufo-Addo wasn’t left out of the list as he’s part of the top 13 most highly paid African leaders.
