Minister Of Communications Honorable Ursula Owusu has pleaded with Ghanaians and the Minority in Parliament to accept the Ghanaian 1.7 electronic levy because its quite small as compared to the United Kingdom.
She made this known during the town hall meeting to explain the importance of the electronic levy tax. According to her, United Kingdom has become successful and we go for loans from their outfit.
Ursula Owusu is having the firm belief that, we can stop going for loans and become self reliant if we accept to pay the 1.7 levy.
Some government officials including the Minister of Finance Honorable Ken Ofori Ata took turns to explain all the expected positive impacts of the levy.
It also emerged that, the tax gotten from electronic levy shall be used to support the youth as capital in starting their own business.
