Hope Gabby Otchere-Darko was not sent to act wisely on behalf of government with this post?

The staunch NPP member, barrister, and owner of Asaase Radio, Gabby Otchere-Darko in a tweet this morning hints that the country will soon have to run to IMF.

He subtly informs Ghanaians the need to look at the IMF as the next option since he revealed how the E-Levy which was supposed to have been a saviour in times like this has only yieded 10% out of the 100% expected revenue estimated by the government.

"After 5 months of stalemate and bashing, the e-levy, after implementation, is delivering only 10% of estimated revenues;

He further talks about the value of our cedi, how it is struggling against the US dollar and the fact that Ghana's revenue continue to be low, however our debt level very high.

He stated that "our revenues remain very low as compared to the rest of the world; debt levels dangerously high, cedi, like most currencies, struggling against the US dollar…".

Gabby Otchere-Darko goes on to tell Ghanaians that the country is already a member of the IMF and how the cutting down of capital expenditures will end up in job losses.

He finally asks if we are against IMF "Are you against an IMF program?". This is just to psych Ghanaians that Ghana will soon join the IMF since it looks like that's the only option to save us from this crisis.

The big question is, has Gabby been sent by the NPP to solicit our views or just informing us about our near future?
