Johnny Hughes of TV3 has made a bold revelation on live TV on his morning show today. He said that at the beginning of the year, he revealed that two things were going to break the 8; fuel price and the cedi.

The fuel price has now broken the 8. He added confidently that from the way things are going, the cedi will also break the 8. With this, he said that the leaders will not tell us but will blame it on a war that does not have a direct effect on us.

The cedi is currently the worst-performing currency in sub-Saharan Africa and it is likely for it to depreciate the more, he added. He continued by saying that breaking the 8 is not done by just talking but by putting the right measures in place to sustain the country. The 8 cannot be broken with the mouth he added.
