There are so many abandoned projects scattered across Ghana, this is because any government that comes to power want to start his own project, thereby ignoring the work in progress of the previous government.
These governments when they come to power, instead of utilizing the scarce resources of the economy, they end up mismanaging it. Recently, we heard that the government is applying for a loan to buy cars for the members of Parliament and also the wives of the president and the vice president are going to be paid monthly.
In this article, we bring to a some of the abandoned projects Ghana needs money to finish to better the lives of the citizens.
1. Affordable housing projects.
In Ghana, the housing deficit is not well known. However, the root causes which are improper planning and incoherent political activities, mismanagement and consequently, abandonment of public housing projects are easily identifiable.
2. Health care facilities.
There are many unfinished hospital facilities scattered scattered uncompleted across Ghana which includes, The Tepa District Hospital, Fomena District Hospital and Kumawu District Hospital etc.
3. Roads construction.
The abandoned roads which are uncompleted are uncountable in Ghana. The Accra-Kumasi road has been under construction for years.
Other abandoned projects include schools, factories, companies etc. Ghana needs money to finance these projects but the leaders also want to start new project leaving the old ones.
