Reports in the local media has it that, angry Kumasi Asante Kotoko board of directors have clashed with the CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah, for not informing them before offloading eight players which included Emmanuel Gyamfi.
According to the report, majority of the board members voted against the dismissal of Emmanuel Gyamfi on their last meeting.
The report also has it that the board had a conference call with the CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah after hearing the dismissal of Emmanuel Gyamfi but he hunged up the phone. Mr. Kwadwo Boateng Gyemfi tried to call back Nana Yaw Amponsah but he refused to pick up the call.
It has been established that about 8 players of Asante Kotoko including Habib Mohammed, deputy Captain Emmanuel Gyamfie and others.
Information available to Silva FM's Darling Boy Piero, one of the board members called Emmanuel Gyamfi for him to explain why the CEO sacked him where he did.
Emmanuel Gyamfi is likely to return to the team again after the board's intervention.
