Don't Blame The Minority For The IMF Bailout - Haruna Iddrisu Sends Message To The President

Recently, the IMF has been one key story Ghanaians are based on as a lot of Ghanaians don't understand why the country is still going for IMF loans while a lot of taxes are being paid by the people.

On Wednesday, Mr Iddrisu said the Akufo-Addo administration must take responsibility for its poor handling of the economy which has landed the country in this crisis and poor economy.

He charged that the President's wastefulness had compelled the administration to choose an IMF bailout.  High-ranking government officials and NPP members have claimed that the NDC's opposition to the e-levy and the delay in implementation was to blame for the tax policy's inability to generate the anticipated revenue.

He went ahead in saying the goodness of our mother Ghana has been the core aim of the NDC party and the comfortable life of the people is what the party secures for its members that's why there were a lot of petitions on the e levy charge but shouldn't be the cause of going to IMF.

They asserted that this was the reason the government turned to the IMF for a bailout.
