Good News Loading: Ghanaians To Start 'Enjoying Fried Rice' Soon

As it stands now, the currant good news loading for the people of Ghana has it, that sooner than later, Ghanaians will be having some levels of relieve, following the recent difficulties in the country.

The Republic of Ghana, under the current Nana Akufo-Addo led NPP government, has been facing serious economic challenges for sometimes now.

All efforts by the government and its economic experts, to address the difficulties, and to bring situations under control has proved futile.

The the country; since the second term of this government, has been hit with challenges like high cost of goods and services, and poor living conditions.

The mother of all these challenges has to do with the high fuel prices and the depreciation of Ghanaian cedi against its major international currencies.

A currency depreciation; as the financial experts defined it, is a fall in the value of a currency in terms of its exchange rate versus other currencies.

Currency depreciation occurs due to factors such as economic fundamentals, interest rate differentials, political instability, or risk aversion among investors.

Financial experts have explained that, if a currency depreciates (when the exchange rate falls), the relative price of domestic goods and services falls, while the relative price of foreign goods and services increases.

Today in Ghana, the US dollar to the Ghanaians cedi is GHc10, and this is the main cause of the high cost of goods and services; and high cost of living being faced in Ghana; but there is a good news loading.

The good news currently loading from the presidency has revealed that, soon Ghanaians will start 'Enjoying Fried Rice'.

This idiomatic expression; 'Enjoying Fried Rice' means great economic and personal growth; social changes, and better living conditions coming.

An information coming from the presidency states that, from next week (from Monday 29), the Ghana Cedi will begin to stabilize.

The Minister of State at the Finance Ministry, Mr. Charles Adu Boahen who made these revelations states that, the government of Ghana, has taken steps to ensure, that it address some of the real concerns, with regards to making more hard currency available for importers.

Mr. Adu Boahen again said, that the government has entered into an agreement with mining and gas companies, to sell their forex to the Bank of Ghana as means of stabilizing the cedi.

He added that, the $750 million African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) loan, that government has contracted will help shore up the currency; and that, “We want to see the stabilization happening next week. The Afrexim facility should be here by Monday at the latest and that should begin towards the first step toward making sure that the stabilization occurs”.

When this truly happen next week (when the Cedi stabilized), just as Mr. Adu Boahen revealed; what that will means is; Ghanaians will start feeling signs of relieve, because cost of goods and services will be under control. And when the high cost of living in the country is reduced, Ghanaians will start 'Enjoying Fried Rice'.
